ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम्।
उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान् मृत्योर्मुक्षीय मामृतात्॥

ॐ हम आपको त्रि-अम्बकम, सुगंधित, पोषण को बढ़ाने वाला अर्पित करते हैं।
जैसे उर्वशी ने अमृत से मुक्ति पायी थी, वैसे ही मुझे भी मृत्यु के बंधन से मुक्त कर दो।

ॐ We offer Thee the Tri-Ambakam, the fragrant, the nourishing one.Like Urvashi was liberated by the nectar, so release me from the bondage of death.

ॐ नमो भगवते रुद्राय।
ॐ नमो भगवते रुद्राय विष्णवे मृत्युं मे पाहि।
ॐ नमो हिरण्यबाहवे हिरण्यवर्णाय हिरण्यरूपाय हिरण्यपतये अंभो निलयाय नमः।

ॐ नमो भगवते रुद्राय।
हे भगवान रुद्र, हे विष्णु, मुझे मृत्यु से बचाओ।
हे स्वर्ण-भुजाधारी, स्वर्ण-रंग वाले, स्वर्ण-रूप वाले, स्वर्ण-देवता, जल के निवास स्थान को नमस्कार।

Om namo bhagvate rudraya.
O Lord Rudra, O Vishnu, save me from death.
O golden-armed, golden-coloured, golden-formed, golden-god, salutations to the abode of water.

॥ श्री रुद्राष्टकम ॥
Shri Rudrashtakam 

नमामीशमीशान निर्वाणरूपं
विभुं व्यापकं ब्रह्म वेदस्वरूपम्।
निजं निर्गुणं निर्विकल्पं निरीहं
चिदाकाशमाकाशवासं भजेऽहम्॥१॥

मैं उन निर्वाणस्वरूप भगवान शिव को, जो वेदरूपी ब्रह्म में व्याप्त हैं, नमन करता हूँ।
मैं अपने उस आत्मस्वरूप की पूजा करता हूँ जो सभी गुणों से रहित है, द्वैत से रहित है, अहंकार से रहित है, चेतना का आकाश है, तथा आकाश में निवास करता है।

I bow to the Supreme Lord, the Lord of all, who is the embodiment of liberation.
He is all-pervading, infinite, and the essence of the Vedas.
He is beyond attributes, beyond illusions, and beyond desires.
He dwells in the infinite consciousness like the vast sky.

निराकारमोंकारमूलं तुरीयं
गिरा ज्ञान गोतीतमीशं गिरीशम्।
करालं महाकाल कालं कृपालं
गुणागार संसारपारं नतोऽहम्॥२॥

निराकार ओंकार-मूल, चौथा, परमेश्वर, पर्वतों का स्वामी, जिसका ज्ञान शब्दों द्वारा प्राप्त होता है।
मैं उस भयंकर, महान काल, दयालु, गुणों के भण्डार, पारलौकिक जगत को प्रणाम करता हूँ।

He is formless, the root of Om, beyond the three states of existence.
He is beyond speech and knowledge, the Lord of the mountains.
He is fearsome yet compassionate, the Lord of time, the destroyer of all.
He is the one who takes us beyond this worldly existence.

तुषाराद्रि संकाश गौरं गभीरं
मनोभूत कोटि प्रभा श्री शरीरम्।
स्फुरन्मौलि कल्लोलिनी चारु गंगा
लसद्भालबालेन्दु कंठे भुजंगा॥३॥

हिम पर्वत जैसा, श्वेत, गहरा, मनभावन, करोड़-उज्ज्वल, गौरवशाली शरीर।
अपने चमकते मुकुट, चमकती दाढ़ी और गले में चंद्रमा को लपेटे हुए सुंदर गंगा एक सर्प है।

He is as radiant as the snow-capped mountains, deep and profound.
His divine body shines like millions of cupids combined.
The holy river Ganga flows from His hair locks.
The crescent moon glows on His forehead, and a serpent adorns His neck.

चलत्कुंडलं भ्रू सुनेत्रं विशालं
प्रसन्नाननं नीलकंठं दयालम्।
मृगाधीश चर्माम्बरं मुण्डमालं
प्रियं शंकरं सर्वनाथं भजामि॥४॥

उसके कानों में हिलते हुए झुमके, भौहें, सुंदर आंखें, बड़ा हंसमुख चेहरा, नीली गर्दन और दयालु हृदय था।
हे मृगराज! मैं उन प्रिय भगवान शिव की पूजा करता हूँ, जो सबके स्वामी हैं, जो चमड़े के वस्त्र पहनते हैं और दाढ़ी की माला पहनते हैं।

उसके कानों में हिलते हुए झुमके, भौहें, सुंदर आंखें, बड़ा हंसमुख चेहरा, नीली गर्दन और दयालु हृदय था।

His earrings swing, His eyebrows are beautiful, and His eyes are large.
His face is ever peaceful, His throat is blue, and He is full of kindness.
He wears the skin of a tiger and a garland of skulls.
He is beloved, He is Shankara, the Lord of all.

"नमामि शमीशन निर्वाण रूपम्
विभुम् विभूति विभूषितम् अब्जम्
विश्वेश्वरं विश्वविनाशकं राम
नमामि ऋषेश्वरं ईश देवेशम्"

हे राम, मैं निर्वाणस्वरूप शमीशन को, कमल के समान पुष्प वाले, यश से सुशोभित, जगत के स्वामी, जगत के संहारक को नमस्कार करता हूँ। हे राम, मैं ऋषियों के स्वामी, देवताओं के स्वामी को नमस्कार करता हूँ।
